IB TWS does not update volume well in real time charts

When in QG or QM (gas and oil nymex), when watching real time (updates every 1 second) I notice the most recent trade volume (few minutes) always appears sparse. When I change the chart duration and force update, everything appears filled out and correct.

Any ideas? This is v860.

you know, e-trade is ridiculous (commisions, order execution interface, etc), but their power etrade platform via java is about ten times faster than TWS...

The real time charting flies, especially when you have more than one underlying on one chart.

I would love that kind of speed in TWS.

Seems to happen in every instrument, at least in futures.

Is there any solution to this, other than continuous refreshing? (which messes up the zoom)
