You are so naughty, trying to break the exchanges. *tsk tsk*

only once?I sold my own bid once!
Hello,
I was updating my order this morning and somehow my long order filled in as a short in an illiquid (25 cent spread) US stock. Thankfully I realized it after few seconds and cancelled the remaining order immediately. I had to cover my short and lost $200 in less than a minute. This has never happened to me before. I'm not sure whether It was my own mistake or TWS's bug. Has anyone else experienced this sort of mistakes or bug before? Thanks.
To be clear I am not accusing IB of any wrong doing. I didn't even contact IB because 99%, it was my own mistake. I was talking to someone else while updating my order but I just can't believe it.
I'm surprised to hear that you were able to modify an existing order from being a buy order into a sell order. I was aware that IB allows you to modify the limit price, or modify the quantity. But I was not aware that you are allowed to change from buy into sell on an existing order.I was updating my order this morning and somehow my long order filled in as a short in an illiquid (25 cent spread) US stock.
