"Trade Allocation Minimum Commissions" appeared on the commissions page recently:

Has IB always had this buried in the fine print somewhere or is it new?
I had plans to open a F&F advisor account but this completely ruins it for me. My trading strategy is very active and comms are often near the minimum.
As a result, if I had 10 client accounts with $100k each, the total comms would be almost 10x as much as one account with $1M. This is ridiculous. I will have to look into doing a LP structure or something like that instead to work around.
At the very least, IB should introduce some kind of volume discount, or waive the fees completely once a certain amount of monthly commissions have been reached in the advisor account.
Thoughts? Comment from IB?
