IB Suggestions & Improvements

I say bring in data from some important delivery contracts and sell it to us even if we can't trade it. Example from today is unleaded. I saw 135 guys in a room putting up delayed Barcharts quotes on it. QM and Coil may be becoming passe. Who knows what tomorrow's strategic or market moving commods will be that can affect indexes?

Do the same with some news service? And maybe some of these market internals that I can never figure out or find the symbols for.

I was told by an IB employee that the TWS feature, for excluding "non-electronic" quotes from SMART, is intended and designed to exclude ALL NYSE/AMEX quotes, regardless of whether or not automatic execution is available for any particular NYSE/AMEX quote. Is this true?

I was also told that while the feature does exclude certain quotes from SMART order-routing decisions, it does not exclude any quotes from SMART market data lines displayed on the TWS. Is this true?

I was also told that another feature, the one for excluding "non-firm" quotes, excludes ALL quotes for sizes of 100 shares. Does this feature treat ECN quotes for 100 shares as "non-firm", and does it exclude ECN quotes for 100 shares?

Any idea when this problem will be fixed:

Everytime after you enter an order with discretionary amount, then close TWS, start TWS again, the discretionary amount will disappear!

I use discretionary orders everyday, and just started to notice this problem recently. Called IB Support, the support guy on the phone tested it himself, and got the same problem. He said he will request developers to fix it.

I forgot to mention that my reason, for asking you my previous questions in this thread, is that I have been given a great deal of contradictory and ambiguous information by IB customer service, about these and related questions, so that I don't know what to believe, and they are unwilling to spend further time to clarify. So I am hoping you will clarify. Thank you.

Here's a few suggestions for Book Trader:

1. Ability to place auto stop and trailing stop orders. As far as I'm aware bracket orders are allowed, but not these.

2. Ability to place stop limit orders.

3. Fix it so it keeps the last price in the center of the window. I have to hotkey "Recenter" and hit it repeatedly.

4. Make a "Realized Net P&L" column available on the Quote Panel.

5. A scroll bar that allows user to move away from the last price momentarily to place limits, stops.

I apologize ... if I am in the wrong .. .but I had my
TWS logged on today and for the first time
had my market scanner page showing

AD - NYSE

the data there did not match what Q charts ( live charts was showing )

I guess I would need E Signal / market center

or some other vendor to re confirm if IB feed was off or if it was correct

By the way ... whats the current re-set time for the USA servers ?
