I think we should be able to customize the charts. For instance, I would like to be able to automatically pull up a chart with a template on it every time I click a symbol. Another thing, the templates are complicated to put on the charts. Normally, you would just click the template you want --with IB you have to go through extra steps. I have yet to figure it out (although I have not tried all that much).
I would like to able to customize and save settings for each indicator. But Ib has come quite a ways in a short amount of time on the charting. I have been around long enough to see worse charting than IB.

Customize chart colors. I have trouble with the current colors since I am red-green color blind. I prefer blue and red.

a]Yes;
simplify charts, like most of the better ones, should be able to simply type in a stock or another option symbol on same chart;
instead of all that ''unique time consuming steps''.
b]More simplyfying ,put bid ask on them all;
why would anyone want to look at a chart without bid/ask????
c]On option symbols, on my quote screen stop incomplete info;
''QQQ...'' instead of the full option symbol.
''QQQ...'' tells me nothing when its supposed to be QQQVM
z] SMART is quite handy/helpful & dont see any problem with it shortened to ''SMA...'', thats clear on quote screen;
unlike unclear , confusing , option symbol ''QQQ...''

FWIW you can customize colour in charts when you're using IB's web based platform. I don't know why this functionality exists there and not in the installed version. In any case, its clear the chart portion of IB has lots of room for improvement.

Get rid of the charts all together or at least offer a version of TWS that is lean and mean. I use to think TWS required to much memory back in the 30mb's of memory days, now it's way over the top. If you run TWS with a few other app's you need a friggin Cray for everything to run smoothly. Less is more!
