Reminder: This is supposed to be a new/better feature thread, not for operational complaints.

I find that, on my ancient slow secondary machine, when I load a lot of orders into basket trader, and I have audit trails enabled, it can be quite slow. I have to remember to turn audit trails off when using baskets until I can get TWS moved to a faster machine. Try turning off audit trails?

i was wonderin' if u can adjust the runnin' pnl on open positions to include both sides of commissions...so far it only includes the openin' side.

Is there any way to turn off that super anyoying automatic log-off. Walk away from your computer and next thing you know you have to log in again. If there isn't then there should be.

As a workaround, look for something called IBController here, on the Yahoo forum, or on the IB forum. It's one of the tools that can be used to control TWS automatically.
 
While I am on this, is there any way that I can get options quotes on corn, beans and wheat? I only really want at the money options in the front months. Could you not call over to timber hill and get them to put something together? I would even give up a little on the spread to get a fill. Maybe you could put something together like the way the treasury futures options were when they first came out, no electronic volume but a reasonably tight spread mean I could get an "okay" fill allowing me to limit my risk in trading the underlying, while the MM could scalp a half hick out of me.

I think the ags would be great to trade because of the small contract size and low correlation to other futures.

it would be one of the best addition ib could make...for hedgin' porpouses and to fade/bottom fish the contract since it can be pretty predictable..of course without the pain of bein' exposed to the risks of bein' naked in a short pos and to have a much more relaxed way to trade qm.
