IB Suggestions & Improvements

I realize it's been said many times before, but either get serious about charting or get it out of IB. I find the current charts just short of useless. I don't really understand why you're even bothering to build this - there must be some good stuff out there either open source or companies that you could buy - but your progress on charts, while good, just can't keep up with other vendors.

i have question regarding IB TWS and ARCA. it is looks to me that trades,executed @ ARCA not added to volume and price shown in TWS.
i had few trades today on tiny stocks and when i sold my shares via ARCA @ bid nothing basically happends. last price (which is way below my execution price) did not change. volume also did not change. lot was > 100 shares
what is going on?
 
1. I'd like my balance or Net Liquidation Value shown at the top right of TWS. Right now, I can only open Account window, resize it to show my Net Liquidation Value, and pin it at the top right of TWS. Not a good solution.

2. I'd also like to be able to set all trades to default to GTC instead of DAY.

3. I'd further suggest that we be able to change when the day starts, in order to view Change, etc. Along these lines, I wish we could set executions to show for X amount of hours/days without having to go into Acct Mgmt.
 
Starting Aug. 1 CBOT is starting side-by-side pit trading and electronic trading. Will we be able to trade the current ECBOT futures that IB offers during pit hours?

In TWS Main Menu:

Configure>Order>Order Defaults>Time In Force

Select GTC from Pull Down Window

Note that you can set different vehicles (stocks, options, futures, etc.) to different defaults. The above will set stocks.

In recent versions, there's a feature called something like "dashboard", which docks below the toolbar in TWS, and can be configured to contain many different items, including what you mentioned.

I've tried that with the last 3 TWS versions, and it still defaults to DAY.
