IB stops

Hi Guys,

I need an update on everyone's experience with IB stops for eminis..

do they work well and fast ?
what method is used if they are native stops ?
(are they native or on IB servers ?)
(last, double last, bid/ask etc..)

please as many replies as possible.

yeah I use them everyday. Not the native stop limits, just the plain old Ib server held stops.

They work better than I do. No problem with them, occasionally there is a problem with me waitng for just one more tick, that's why I use them.

99% of the time I attach them to entry with an auto stop.

I'll take the other side of any argument about stops, good or bad. I can argue for them or against them, both trailing and fixed.

But I can only argue in favor of Ib's stops. No problem.

The trailing stops are a nightmare though, because I can't see the stop price. They say they fixed that, but I didn't get it. I don't use them anyway. I should, but I never believe the market is really going to move as far as it does.

they're double bid ask. But you can change that if want to. Sort of like picking out the colors for your casket lining.

To see the stop price, go into layout manager and click on the box that says "stop".

ok good, one more thing. I also use stops for entries.

You can use an auto stop with an entry stop, but it involves some mousing.
