IB phantom trades and order type changes

I have a problem with what I am guessing is JAVA

that on 2 occasions this yr executed trades for me

without my clicking on the bid of offer with my version of TWS

thank god I did not make or lose much money
in these two instances

in both cases once I restarted my apple computer

everything went back to A-OK for me as far

as properly entering trades using my mouse

or hotkeys

I was trying to widen the "bid" column on the EUR so I could see the full price and the next thing I knew, an order to sell $25k had been entered and filled.
I use IB for mostly after hours stuff due to the large short list.

Well, it looks like we have an X-files thread for IB. I cannot explain allegations of phantom orders, but the other problem described in this thread, the illusion of surveillance of individual traders by market-makers, is something I think I can explain. I just posted this explanation in another thread. Here it is:

Quote from jimrockford:

Your observations can be explained. You are what is often called "dumb money" or part of "the crowd". The "dumb money" tends to act as sheep in a herd, in a somewhat predictable fashion. The "smart money" has a limited ability to predict what the "dumb money" will do; for example, where the "dumb money" will place their stops. The "smart money" can predict your actions, not as an unobservable isolated individual, but because you are running with the herd. The herd is observable through the market's normal fluctuations. Your lack of awareness, that you are running with an easily observable herd, creates the illusion that you are being monitored as an isolated individual.
