IB Multiple Currency

I have a margin account at IB. The base currency is USD but I want to have more then one currency in the account. I've been told that this is possible by IB but they haven't gotten back to me on this matter when I ask for specifics. I'm thinking of placing basket orders for four different markets in four different currencies. Each market won't exceed 25% of the total portfolio.
1 Has anyone tried this successfully with basket orders?
2 What happens if the order is bigger then the available funds for the currency?
The reason for this is to pick four markets where a particular script works well and to reduce risk.
 
you can utilize your margin in other currencies, but you will be charged margin interest (for the borrowing), and paid interest on your other balances
