IB market data stall --- TWS or Java or Windows 8?

Have the same problem today. Quotes on YM Dec 14 are freeze a few seconds after starting TWS. However, this only happens with TWS 946.2 (the current version), old version 936.9 works fine. And it only happens on my desktop computer, notebook also works fine (even with 946.2). Java on both(!) computers is 1.7_51. As usual, IB support suggested updating Java, trying out the non-standalone version of TWS and so on. All this while 946.2 worked fine until today and without updating ANYTHING (neither Java or TWS) in the last few weeks, so it's pretty unlikely that this issue is client-only related.

However, will try to update Java, but don't think it will change anything.

Funny thing is that quotes on ES and NQ are running fine.
 
Just updated Java to 1.7_67. As expected, problem persists. YM quotes freeze a few seconds after starting up TWS. On desktop and with current TWS 946 only.
 
Isolated the bug yesterday. Quotes stalled in 946 if there was also an time & sales window with the corresponding ticker running. Issue has been resolved by IB today.

Thanks for update, still using build 944.3

Learned not to update too soon long ago.
 
My IB Quotes were broken for aproximately 2 hours yesterday. I do not think its an ISP issue as I was able to use other things. I tried updating my Java, You are right it did not do a thing. It looked ok later. This is pathetic. This for me now happend way to often now.

As for quotes stalling for 2-3 seconds, it happens all the time.. since the internet in China is pretty miserable, i can't blame IB.. i just live with it... doesn't really affect my trading.

...except a couple weeks ago, when everything went dark.

FWIW there's no such regional option when I log in, while the rest is the same as on your picture. I have to call in IB this week, will ask them about that.
