I have an account at IB and Think Or Swim. I read numerous people complaining about the margin requirements at IB so I decided to compare it to another broker.
Check this out. I calculated the margins for selling 5 DEC 24 calls on the QQQQ for $3.68.
IB margin requirement: $5872.50
Maintenance $5604
Now I did the same thing at Think or Swim
Margin requirement $2689.50
What the hell happended to IB?
If anyone else has an account in another broker could you post the margin requirement for selling 5 DEC 24 CALLS on the QQQQs.
