IB lots of issues lately. Programmers drinking again?

To all traders:

Some clients are reporting issues with the Unrealized Profit & Losses Column and we are currently investigating the issue.
 
so explain how an major indicator like $tick can be fukked up for days and not fixed? how many algos use this ?

Always saw IB as a pile of hidden garbage, nice to see it's becoming visible. Shame it will take people out along the way. That's why we developed our own platform and data feed, the middlemen these days hinder rather than add value. Painful to cut them out in the short term but in the end the markets are just a game of attrition.

The old IB logo was apt, IB flipping the bird to clients with bad service

How many millions did they spend on rebranding to this logo, money which could have been better spent on improving quality assurance.


Seriously, i have been a customer with IB for 13 years. Bugs happen every now and then. Normally down to human error. Hopefully they do not cost traders too much money. But i don't think they can be 100% avoided.
 
Bugs cant be avoided. But they should not last for days.

Now, that logo. Is that a man, fist pumping or,
Pac Man about to chew a red ball. Might be the market making division getting chewed

Why IB always used a pit trader logo ('one lot') when they were always promoting electronic trading is a bit strange.
I supposed it symbolizes the typical piker retail trader accounts they have, traders who never progress larger than one lot.
