IB JTWS auto updates

Hi,

Maybe that's a question for Def.
Is it normal the standalone version is not available for upgrade [ie v696] while the web version is.

I know the web version is always up to date and you need to manually request to update the standalone. I don't mind the manual process, actually I think it is better that way.

However, when one version is updated [web] I would expect the standalone version to be available soon after [within a day I guess]. Is it possible to request for that, or am I just too impatient ?

I have an installed version of IB (java) and it checks every 30 days for a new version and installs it if it's there automatically. You can set this within the program

I don't see a reason why the versions should be different. Perhaps they just wanted some feedback before moving it to the installed version. I noticed this as well and made the suggestion that the date of the latest release be published on the web site download page.
