@traderjo you can still trade with IB... you're just signed up to their USA office and can't trade spot-FX and on margin.

@Epicurus, where did you read that IB resolved issues with ASIC?

IB Australia have AFSL No.453554. Are transferring all existing IB accounts to IB Australia by end Nov. 2017. So assume all is sweet now with ASIC.

Lest talk fact than fiction Jack.. yes there is a toll poppy syndrome down under etc, yes banking is controlled by 4 banks etc yes it is a largest deposits of uranium but wont use it for power generations etc

Your theory of ASIC trying to keep away competition does not stack up
If other US brokers like Options Express and Oanda can perfectly satisfy ASIC why cant a big brother like IB? and service the client base...IB should deal with the "pencil pushing idiots...who get xxxx under the table " as you put it

@traderjo I don't know really... I don't know either one personally, although I've read lots on ET about them. Look, I also thing IB should get back in there... because I do trade with them.

Yeah I get that... but you also know that Australia is over-regulated in lots of ways. And in other ways, the shit some people get away with... just ridiculous really.
