I've just opened a new account with Interactive brokers and I was wondering what are some of the hotkey combinations that current users have. I'm trying to find the right mix of speed and functionality.

Ctrl+Up/Ctrl+Down increase/decrease price
Ctrl+Shift+Up/Ctrl+Shift+Down increase/decrease price big
Ctrl+Left/Ctrl+Right decrease/increase size

F4 buy limit
F5 sell limit
Ctrl+F4 buy market
Ctrl+F5 sell market
F9 cancel
F12 transmit

Works for me.
 
Hot keys:

T = transmit
C = cancel
B = buy limit
Shift B = buy market (only used on listed issues BTW)
S = sell limit
Shift S = sell market
arrow up = increase price
arrow down == decrease price

I don't usually change size so that one is figured into my default order

What i wish we had is a hot key selection for is routing! I hate the pull down menu in a fast market. If a MM puts up a bid or an offer i want SOES to lift or hit it now, i don't want to wait for instanet or selectnet -- kind of sucks to have your order hung and no way to instantly cancel it! (if you put up a SOES line you get no quotes)

Up arrow - increase price by 1 cent
Down arrow - decrease price by 1 cent

Left arrow - decrease order size by 100
Right arrow - increase order size by 100

Enter - transmit
C - cancel

F1 - buy limit
F2 - sell limit

B - buy market
S - sell market

Big "Enter" key is good for transmit. Spacebar is also good.

F8- Tranmit
F12 - Cancel


Ctrl Arrows for size and price.


** I would not recommend using plain LETTERS for any of the functions. Too easy to press by mistake, when you think you are in a different window.
