ib hidden order

Can u tell smth about ib hidden order.
Sometimes i get some filles, if there are some action, but another time it doesnt seem to work. Altough there was no open orders. So assume other brokers "hidden" orders are better ones?
 
Hidden order is last in priority.
Just because other ECNs traded that price doesn't mean yours did, either.
 
From what I understand, IB also simulates some hidden orders depending on the security and exchange. Suppose you are buying with a simulated hidden limit order. That means your order won't show up on an exchange anywhere but if there is an offer that is equal to or less than your limit order, it will be filled. Some hidden orders are native, like ones sent to ISLAND.
