I had to call IB today about something. Having read a bunch of complaints on here about IB's phone service, I thought it would be interesting to see how I was treated.

I find IB's customer service to be a lot better than the press they receive here. No broker is perfect; IB comes as close to it as possible.

I have never had a problem with them... just stay cool, and be respectful. Customer service ain't always easy in any biz much less in dealing with (often) agitated trader/customers in a difficult market environment.

sad when you can write a post when you find the ONE IB rep whos nice. LOL. my experience when i was with them is i am sure they got tons of idiotic calls, when they dont try and cater to the novice crowd, so they treat everyone that calls lie an idiot until they realize otherwise...but its definitley liek that everywhere, the guys i use now, some dont even return my calls, but others go an extra mile to even get me a say five cent price improvement form the specialist. if i wasnt at a prop id prob be back at IB
