things got dangerous from 21January but didnt receive any emails (realise IB do no margin phone calls) to alert me of Liquidation risks. Liquidations occurred within a week. is there not a regulatory body who ensures brokers alert clients of nearing liquidations?
IB give margin alert emails by default?

You should not be in the market until you familiarize yourself with the tools of trading , which includes studying the use of margin.

I'm New to IB, worried about liquidate problem, have read lots of pages talking about IB margin types and rules. Still working on it. Here's what I learned about margin cushion warnings. Basically you can configure the alerts by yourself.
