IB drops $10K account minimum

So trade for $10.00/mo and IB is free... How much would a futures account need to be funded with? Does IB have free charts?
ES
If your account size is below 100 k USD you need to generate at least 10 USD per month in commissions. If you don't reach this they charge you the difference. Example: you create 3 USD in commission, they charge you 7 USD. This requirement is waived if your account size is above 100 k USD. Trader Workstation (TWS) has free delayed charts. If you want data which is not delayed you have to pay. How much you have to pay for data subscription depends on the instrument(s) you want to track. You can select what you subscribe to.
How much funding you need to do futures trading depends on the margin requirements of the futures contract you're interested in.

I have an IB account but am not very familiar with TWS's features (and bugs) because I only use automated trading. For that I don't need TWS.

IB got this minimum activity fee but if you have between $10K and $100K, you will also earn interest in your cash balances. Which offset that. You can even earn interest on the first 10K by buying UST bonds, most brokers wont let you do that

That should be the way.

Of all my brokers, IB has the most ugliest trading platform.
Also IB uses the most complex, most difficult to understand, strange odd english.

Only thing good about IB is the range of instruments you can trade.

I don't agree, this is not the only good thing about IB. The best thing imo about them is their financial strength. GL.
