IB driving me crazy!

like I said it is not the first time it has happened. Doesn't change much to contact you. If I am even able to do so. Then there is always an explanation for everything ,
"order did not trigger because... ".

Quote from youarefired:

I lost 40 cent+ on an ETF order after FOMC using SMART, it was an odd lot.
40 cent during the time I sent the order and I liquidated the position.
Does IB SMART handle odd lot as well? doesn't seem like it! at least it should have executed the order partially
marketable limit order, market order nothing did it, had to reroute to an ECN
SMART is f*cked not long ago I had the same problem with a stock, no execution at market , had to reroute. I am not eventalking abouyt after hours orders, SMART sends to the wrong exchange, have to find out where is the stock offered and reroute

TWS is using more and more resources pretty soon I will have to trash that 512 MB machine

funny, none of the rest of are complaining about this. are you sure its not operator error?

operator error no

quotes way behind, that 's usual
what's not is the unexecuted trades even routed (via SMART) to ECN's

could be the odd lot that prevented the whole order to be executed . Some ECN's don't take odd lots

Quote from IBsoft:

I asked for specifics; are you going to send them?

No I value my privacy , sir. I wouldn't want
IB to close my account because I cause trouble. I know this has happened.

nOW here is another annoying bug for you to fix, this is a NEW bug for all I know

place your cursor in the "size" box after you created an order. Now say you have 300 in there but you want to trade an odd lot, place the cursor between the 3 and the zeros , delete one 0 enter another digit . See what happens, try different combinations of this and see what happens. Great when you are trying to place an order, then the routing problems start

now for the next 6 months IB developers will be working only on fixing ALL the bugs, no new release, get to work

youarefired,

Being a client does not give you the automatic right to be an asshole to the people who are there for support. And, if you are not willing to provide the details needed to identify and fix the problem, then you shouldn't be bitching about it either.

No wonder you don't get any help

we 'll talk about that the day you lose a few hundreds because of an IB order that did not trigger, or because some new bug or some new feature you were not aware of got in the way of your order in fast market

I feel sorry for whichever broker you switch to next.
Why don't you try MBT, I heard they have good customer support that you can be an asshole to.

I didn't say you should not be frustrated or even pissed. However, that does not excuse the total disrespect you were showing when IB support was trying to help you. I am pretty sure that the person trying to help you was not the direct cause of your problem, so going off on them is pointless. If anything, its going to be detrimental to getting your problems fixed.
