IB Downtime Update - WIDE SCALE SERVICE DISRUPTION

Quote from bali_survivor:

If I just may add my $ 0.02 here.

All these complaints are those of (more or less) small lot traders that have not been around for very long.

Do you really think that a trader with a substantial large position can just get out of a trade when something untowards happens?

Were you around / in a position when September 11th happened?

A "backup" broker won't help you there either.

It is better to take a hard look at your strategy, money management, position sizing habits and risk management. Perhaps take a look at using options to safeguard your short term trading.

Best wishes for 2008
Maria

thanks, Maria.
Listen up, mofos. Quality advise from a seasoned trader.

Well some of us have the balls to stand up to folks and others just make stupid comments in the background, hoping to stir the pot.

I am sure others have said the same thing to you.

Merrill, Citi CIB, SocGen, Barclays

Please provide some links. I would be genuinely interested if any could meet the criteria I listed. I don't think they can.

Another reply from a professional asshole.

You must have very little to be proud of in your own life.

I hadn't seen much of you recently steve. Is this example,,, like,,, your New Year's Resolution for 2008?

You must mean my reluctance to tolerate fools.

No I have always felt that malicious, mean spirited, people of small character should get an appropriate reward whenever they seek to bully the rest.

:D  :D :) :)
