IB - Double charge for Data Feed

We'll see! The rep I spoke with online chat today was adamant about me only being charged once.... So I created a ticket. I'm waiting to see how they blame me for it!

5) Are you sure the bundle includes OPRA? I thought when IB switched to their "new bundle" it no longer included it.
No I'm not sure, so probably you are right. I referred to situation few years ago and couldn't think of a reason why this has been changed (as the call to charge extra was from the 2 stock exchanges).

Yeah, honestly I don't remember if the "old bundle" included OPRA either, now that I think of it. And it's entirely possible that the "new bundle" includes it. I really don't know. In any case, I've never actually had to pay for it, because I meet the commission threshold. It's funny how you can ignore things when you don't think they affect yourself :)

Do you have multiple accounts with IB and possibly double subscribed for market data?

Has IB double charged anyone else for their July 2019 data feed subscriptions (market data)?

I ran a custom YTD report on my account this morning, and the "Statement of Funds" clearly shows two charges on my account for all of my subscriptions. I only have one account.

The rep I online chatted with at IB swears up and down that I was only charged once... But I see it plain as day that they deducted all the fees twice -- all of the line items stating "For July".

I opened a ticket with them via email/message support and attached a screen grab. I'm just wondering if anyone else is being affected by this?

Nope, unless the demo paper trading account counts as another one... and the platform uses delayed data when I’m logged into the demo/paper account.

This screenshot looks different from the one which I receive every month via email. Mine does have sections with header "Account Information" and "Cash report", but mine does not have a section with header "Statement of Funds".
Are you sure that your account is registered as a regular retail account?

Well... IB failed to understand the problem:

Dear Mr. XXXXXX,

We request you to regenerate an activity statement for the period October 01, 2018 - July 02, 2019 and refer the 'Fees' section. As in our systems we are able to see that you have been charged USD 56.50 as fee for market data subscription since October 01, 2018.

You have received reimbursement of fee on your subscriptions to 'US Securities Snapshot and Futures Value Bundle Non-Professional' and 'OPRA Top of Book (L1)' for generating sufficient commission in a given month. However, the reimbursement for the month of June 2019 is yet to be credited in your account.

You can expect the reimbursement of market data fee for the month of June 2019 to be credited within the 1st week of July.

Please find the below calculations for USD 56.50 market data fee charged for the period October 01, 2018 - July 02, 2019.

USD 4.5 fee (AMEX Level I, NASDAQ Level I, NYSEL Level I) charged since October 2018 until June 2019 = 9 * 4.5 = 40.5

Add USD 16 fee charged in the month of July 2019 (AMEX Level I, NASDAQ Level I, NYSEL Level I, OPRA NP L1 and US Securities Snapshot and Futures Value Bundle Non-Professional) = 1.5 + 1.5+ 1.5 + 1.5 +10 = 16

Please refer the given link on creating an Activity Statement: LINK../howtorunastatement.htm
If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Regards,
Deep R.

Just an update:

I've received no further communication from IB. However, when I run my "reports" on their website, it no longer shows any of the "Client Fees" that were showing up on my reports before. It's like they're just gone from my "Statement of Funds" report. But my cash balance hasn't been credited to reverse the charges either.

Who the fuck knows what actually happened? I guess I can't expect a clear explanation from IB....
