IB Data Feed Problems?

all these outages, beginning to remind me of National Discount Brokers.

Of all the brokers I have ever had accounts with, they were by far the worst fro outages.

gl everybody, interesting, my feed was ok all day. guess they are spreading the joy around evenly.

I found astonishing that the datafeed for my Simulated Account, which feeds on a second computer into multicharts doenst have the problems while the main feed lags at the opening at 8.30.

same thing today. no quotes at all(no bid,no ask,no last, no volume) on real account and at same time,on same computer simulated account shows everything just fine.
not to mention lots of short disconnections for last few weeks captured by API. that's another story. no answer or explanation on IB bulletin board so far.
btw-looks like page on IB bulletin board with questions about this issue been deleted.
here is same post from same guy yahoo group-
http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/TWSAPI/message/6545

i have been trying to have feedback on the thread i started here:

http://www.interactivebrokers.com/discus/messages/153/38195.html

concerning the error messages:

10:32:55 -1 : 2103 : Market data farm connection is broken:usfarm
10:33:02 -1 : 2104 : Market data farm connection is OK:usfarm

10:40:49 -1 : 2103 : Market data farm connection is broken:usfuture
10:40:52 -1 : 2104 : Market data farm connection is OK:usfuture

that happen a few times during the day. when these API messages arrive,
TWS "market data" turns from greeen to yellow, or quotes disappear for
brief seconds. i think these messages are not due to network issues.
also there are socket Exceptions on the TWS log at the same time i get
these API messages.

anyone ?

No stk data for me here(Houston) during abt last 115 min.

%#(*&$#GOI(*_

Correction it wuz 15min.

The feed worked fine after a re boot.

I went to the live chat room yesterday and asked about this. Lots of traders there but they ignored me so I pointed that out and left.

If I recall from another older thread with regard to IB data and trading interconnects -

IB has uses a different set of servers for the "paper-trading accounts" and has a number of server farms floating around for real accounts.
