What the hell is wrong with this company? I've been with them for years, and the past week I wait on hold for over 5 minutes each call for ANYONE to pick up.

the pickup time is a function of your account size. 5 minutes or more means you have probably less than 5k in your account.
at any account size it is inexcusable
They are simply running a lean and mean organization so you can enjoy low commission rates.What the hell is wrong with this company?

Did you try the live chat within Account Management?
last week i had a technical issue (bug)with the options platform and the live support person not only could not solve the problem but got incredibly upset and mad at me for taking up his time. I opened a new ticket regarding his behavior and I got a more senior person who apologized for his behavior and was more willing to work on it.
But out of the three brokers i have tried IB support is the worst. I am shopping for a new broker and I am fine with paying higher commission if it means top notch service
Not saying you make up stories but why don't you first earn some reputation on this site before you shoot down one of the most reputable retail brokers with a bazooka?
