IB is now a big fish. Like other large firms, IB now puts quite a bit of advertisements. However, unlike Etrade's or Scotttrade's advertisements, IB's TV advertisement is actually cool. growth. keep in mind we grew largely by word of mouth with very little advertising. also, the nominal amounts over the periods you mention is much less than the numbers now.
