IB Charts?!

It gets worse. When IB disconnects(which more often that I want) and reconnects then I'm MISSING all quotes. No bid/ask! WTF?! Only charts. Then finally it reconnects correctly all the other symbols have quotes except the one I'm trading. So I don't even know the prices to get out. Scary.

The only remedy is to log out and log back in.

The chart you show is from the stitched continuous contract. IB calculates a continuous contract, comprised of multiple underlying contracts using some fancy mathematics. However, for a 5 minutes chart do you not really need the continuous chart, unless you want to scroll back very far in history. If you switch to the chart of the actual contract you want to trade, do you see the same spikes?

Thanks for the advice. I switched to Dec and it worked fine. But the strange thing was the for the longest time I tried selecting the Dec contract and it wouldn't let me. So I stick with the continuous. Then later IB allowed me to click through and select the Dec contract. All these weird issues.
