IB charts not updating automatically?

the numbers are moving, but the candles arent painting without a manual 'refresh'

yes, i have automaticall update charts checked, have 'toggled' that checkbox

also, what's that new orange 2nd number on the charts above/below - is it some kind of momentary support resistance?

When I re-install QT, I only get a week's data, and have to wait for the other week to fill in. I asked Jerry about it, that's the way it is. I always tell people that QT is the shit, but if you haven't otherwise captured your screenshots for historical purposes, QT is not good for backtesting historically after re-imaging your box.

i removed my post because i solved it

when i originally set it up, i accidently selected the data sourcce above IB

i fixed it, but it reverted to the old source today

changing back to ib data source made the backfill reapear

interestingly, IB charts started working again

anyone know what ib chart's 2nd orange number is?
