IB - Booktrader 906 no more single click!

what happened on my pc :
the 1st window above disappeared but the smaller transmit window is still there

IB Controller is completely different. It controls TWS, including logon. You can find more info in post from p.31, dated 11-16-10 at 12:32 PM, and on subsequent pages.

thx but i need help again with the ibcontroller set-up

as described in the video after unzipping the V2841 file
one has to rename the ibcontroller.jar.zip file
into ibcontroller.jar

when I do that it still stays in the WinRAR file type

so that copy/paste into the IBCv2841 file path doesnt replace the existing jar file but just paste the rar file with the same name (but different file type)

I assume that some kind if windows installing software is not on my pc?

any idea?

finally brought it to work

auto log in does not function ( i use the secure password generater, that s probably the cause) so i have to manually
log in
after
starting the sampleIB ControllerStart file

(or do I have to klick on the sampleIbcontrollerGateway start file?)

getting rid of the transmit pop-up STIll does not work

in the window there are a few error notices

maybe someone has a clue what the problem is

I don't see any particular error in your window (except the login problem) , but if that's all you have on that window, there's def something wrong in your "installation\setting", mine is at least twice longer.

When you use IB controller with a "regular "account (no demo) and the password generator is needed, you need to insert manually the generated code and then it should work( I haven't tried this because I 've used it only on a demo account).


However here is my IBcontroller folder, it's set only to get rid of order conf. window, there's not passsword and user name set in the ini file, you can launch sampleIBControllerStart and enter them manually when asked or edit and save the ini file.
Find this lines in the ini file and edit accordingly:
IbLoginId= yourLoginId
IbPassword= your IbPassword

1)Make sure your TWS is installed in C:\ directory
2) extract the zipped folder
3)Copy and Paste the extracted folder in C:\ directory (first move your Ibcontroller folder in another directory in case it's already in C:\


It works perfectly here, just tested

let me know how it goes

p.s. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS TEST IT ON A DEMO ACCOUNT FIRST!!! (better safe than bankrupted ...lol )

Glad it worked.

This thread has become a bit messy, asap Imma gather all the stuff posted , organize and open a new thread so newcomers don't have to spend a week to understand what's going on :D

The only advantage of having the thread so messed up is that the lawyers from TT won't figure out which pop-up killer is where and how they work. This way they won't have the ammunition to force IB to change title bars, mouse position, etc. to make our life more difficult.
