IB backfill is terrible!

ECBOT works, and Globex doesnt. Obviously a programming bug that should be very easy to fix.

wtf is going on.

You get up in the morning and you need charts for the overnight session and can't get it.

Pretty disgraceful, I must say that this is going on for so long.

What's strange is the TWS backfill, while slow still seems to work most of the time
 
Up until today I havent had a problem with the backfill. Now my TWS has a new connection with "ushdms2a" on it. never had that before. now no backfill. i guess they hate me now or something.
 
Yes, problem with Globex backfill is annoying and exact reason I have secondary backfill feed.

For those with no backups, the easiest fix is to have IB logged in with 3rd party charting platform up and running by 845am EST. I'm always on by 830am EST (630am MST) and it's NEVER an issue with Globex backfill. If I try to log in on my backup system 15-30mins before NY open and anytime there-after, forget about it. This is an issue of bandwidth/server allocation once the massive volume started to come in Sept.

I've called several times now about the issue. The guy today said many people are making complaints and they are very aware of the situation. So keep putting some fire under their asses by inquiring and hopefully the developers get this resolved soon. This was never an issue for me up through mid-Sept.

Do you have a Sierra charts ?
No problems at all with Ninja and TWS charts
 
I ALWAYS use DTN for backfill. IB is slow as hell even when it works. All depends on third party software of course, but with ensign, you have the DTN backfill option also. Faster and much more data. yes, its free.

The backfill has gotten noticeably worse this week.

And it is not a problem with the computer. The backfill problem has appeared on all four of my computers this week.
