IB - auto liquidate part of positions outside RTH even that would cause an increase in margin?

Thanks for your reply. With all due respect, I feel your comment is too absolute and possibly not true even based on your own website. For example, there a "Real-Time Gross Position Leverage Check" (see below link and graph) which seems to me that IB would start auto liquidation in case of large exposure regardless of margin increase.

Maybe I am wrong but I want to get some clarification and understand IB's rules better. This is just an example to challenge your comment. I am not saying that I would expose myself to such a large exposure, so for those geniuses here who really enjoy lecturing others please save your time. I am only interested in understanding and comply the rules of IB.

sorry but I do not think your true motivation is clarification. You just discovered ET? Or post under an additional handle? You are an IB customer for 10 years but start wondering about account exposure and margin risk control? Which part of the posted image and link is not clear? Care to elaborate? To ask other people to do your homework should at least be preceded by some of your own effort to be specific about which part you do not understand.
Please also read response by IB more carefully. What you claimed @ids said and what he actually said is very different. He simply said that IB would not auto-liquidate if it meant an increase in total margin, required. That does not mean that IB would not auto-liquidate if other risk limits are violated.

My example was about whether auto liquidation will happen in that particular case (large gross exposure) even it would cause "an increase in margin". The answer I suspect should be Yes, which is contradicting what Ids said in his/her post. What's wrong with my comment and desire for clarification?
Different strategies exhibt different risk characteristics. For example, I wasn't trading strategies with large gross exposure but little required margin until recently, thus my question now instead of 10y ago.

I think what he meant was "due to legal liability". There are cock roaches out there who only wait for a strongly worded sentence to be issued, sue, and extract money. I guess what @ids meant to say is that it virtually never happens. Has it happened to you EVER? it has not to me and I trade/ed with IB worth hundreds of thousands in commission, if not more, in multiple asset classes, holding periods, strategies. I guess that is what the rep meant. It may have happened very rarely if ever and he is not gonna let some schmuck piss into his car just because of word choice.
