IB - arca invalid orders

On my retail account I use IB and half the time I try to direct route through ARCA I get a pop-up box saying Invalid Order. Sometimes I eventually fill if I try putting in the order again, sometimes they'll partially fill me, but that's just not a way to trade. IB was pretty much unable to help with the problem so I was wondering if anyone here had the same issues and could help me.

I have the same problem when someone lifts less than a full lot and then it says ARCA does not accept orders less than 100 shares" or something like that....

Now I just use Island for just about everything and that seems to work out well. Plus the ECN rebate is higher which is an added bonus.
