IB APPLICATION JAPAN ACCOUNT

Hey guys,

I started a new IB application as I moved to Japan. I already handed in all the documents and it says finished at the application process page. Although it says finished on the document I handed in for the proof of address I got an email from IB saying that they need additional time to verify my address.

Has anyone experience or an idea why it takes them so long to verify my Japanese address although I have handed in a bank statement with my Japan address on it?

How long have you waited for them to verify? If it has been weeks then it might be certain Japanese regulation.
 
Like one week or so. My concern how do they want to verify? Do they want to contact my bank or check rather I really flew in? I just want to be ahead to speed things up especially in a time like this where stocks go crazy in the US!!
 
It generally takes 2 days- I am just curious what they are doing that take soooooo long....anyway being a trader means being patient

there are patient investors but very few patient traders out there. testosterone + cocaine etc.
