IB API Question

Is there a way to export your portfolio using the Visual Basic API? I know that there is an "Export Portfolio" option in the TWS account menu, but I don't want all that info. I just want the symbol and quantity.

I have also tried the updateportfolio event, but I can't seem to get it grab all the symbols and their quantities.

Can someone help? Thanks.
 
What is the issue you have with updatePortfolio? I've had this issue in TWS itself (not the API) where it doesn't show all my positions in the accounts page. It's intermittent -- usually it works OK. If I right-click on a security and pick positions that appears correctly. I wonder if it's the same issue....
