IB API CFDs

Ok, I am not a US citizen I am a UK citizen, so I will be opening a IBUK account.

BTW: Here is the email I received from IB:

Yes the API does support the capabilities to trade CFD's and would be the same regardless if you connect your API to TWS or to the IB Gateway. As long as your IB Account has the appropriate trading permissions you can trade CFD's either directly in TWS or using an API. If you need assistance opening an Account with IB and/or ensuring your IB Account has the appropriate permissions to trade US Stock CFD's please contact IB's Customer Services Department:
