IB and Subaccounts

Is it possible to setup subaccounts at IB with different strategies/products for a classified individual account or is this feature only available for corp props and advisors? I did a search on the website and it kicks back to the later type of accounts but can't seem to find anything for the non-pro trader. If anyone has experience with this it would be much appreciated. Thx.

It's not even necessary to set this up - IB offers the ability to create subaccounts for one individual. Can be done from the Acct. Mgmt. screen.

They can be used to run multiple strategies, but margining is account specific, so risk in one subaccount won't offset against risk in another subaccount. Meaning it's like just opening up many different accounts under one name. They can all be managed from the same TWS login though, which is nice.
