Is Zerohedge fos or what? They say the borrow is 20-40% on SNAP but IB is showing 90%.

Could come down by the time it clears though
 
Stock borrow is an OTC market. IBKR can charge whatever they like, as can any broker. If you don't want to pay 90%, change brokers. It's a free country.
 
To calculate your daily HTB borrow fee: (Price of security x shares) x borrow rate / 360.

For example, on 1000 shares of SNAP it will be -> ($21 x 1000) x 0.80 / 360 = $46.67 per day to remain short SNAP on a daily basis.
