IB after hours

How do i buy a stock after hours? LEH is trading on Island but when I put a limit order in IB TWS gives me a message that the order will not be placed until 09:30 tomorrow.

Go into the options and there is a checkbox under stocks for enable trading outside of market hours.

Configure--Order--Order Defaults

Under settings, place a checkmark under 'allow order to be activated, triggered, or filled outside of regular trading hours'.

Make sure you check the box 'Fill outside RTH' under the column TIF

I traded on island and via smart. The smart order traded on arca but I did not and still do not see a bid/offer on leh. Any ideas?

Why does the arca line have no bid/ask but when you trade you trade on arca?

You need to enable the arca data feed. It costs $10/month, log onto account managment to do so.
