I wish I would have gone into the military. This is really boring.

Rich white people's problems?

What does joining the military have to do with being bored trading?

Why would one want to be getting their emotional highs from trading?

Being bored? WTF.

Not a rich white person problem. I mean no offense. I just feel like I'm not providing anything to society. I've wished i had gone into the military since I was pretty young. I just took a different path. I got into music, and then went to college, and then got into trading. I just feel empty sometimes. This has nothing to do with race.

The solution for you is very simple: If you still want to trade, move to places with warmer climates and trade from there during winter! Lots of places come to mind, The Caribbeans, Florida, California, Singapore, Africa... Or go join the military if you don't want to trade anymore.

51 years old. Too old for military. I guess I'll deal boredom.

Today spoke with the driver of the agancy, that i work with. He served 30 yrs in dutch army, retired just recently. He had highest, non-officer rank. A really nice , cool , intelligent person, we spoke about his daughter, his years of service etc. I was curious & it was interesting to listen.

But he works now as a driver. I don't judge him, i have no right, nor do i want to. Hmnn. I have nothing against any kind of job, but, at the age of 60, i don't want that kind of retirement.

Try arts, try traveling, go volunteer in africa, learn quitar/piano, exercise, mix it up with swing trading. There a multiple ways of ,, service " to your country.

Check youtube channel by Tom Bilyeu.

Best of luck J.

p.s someone wrote about igloo,
i can imagine, a convesation, with new neighbour :

,, What do you do for a living ?
- Day trading equities, futures, currencies, bonds.

Hmnn. I see,... Remind me, -why are you building an igloo in your backyard?

- I wan't to join the army.

Lol. That's cool.

"this is really boring."
no need to worry.
the market always take care of people suffering from an excess of hubris. it won't be in a good way.

This is also a great post. I am proud of myself. I have done one trade in one stock all week, and it was a small winner.

I am coming off of an absolutely horrible year personally, and i want to make up for it with financial gain. Bad idea. I'll gradually get back to where I was.

Then the only solutions for you is go to warm places to trade (sipping on a pina colada while sitting on a white sand beach trading...) and/or take up some or more hobbies outside of trading to occupy yourself.

If you had a "absolutely horrible year", you shouldn't be bored, you should be working on a decent trade plan...oh and it's 68 degrees on Treasure Island Fla at the moment.
