I was a senior trader. Now I’m a programmer. Here’s why

Please be serious. Your insulting our intelligence (at least mine) :)

It's a trial run. In any random sample you can get high win rate. But it doesn't mean shit as I found out if one trade can and does wipe out all the small gains. Lol

It's a small test. Relax. If this was over thousands of trades then I would be impressed. But it ain't. Just testing various trading styles.

25 year run? Sounds like an old codger, probably 50+
Last thing i'd want to do is learn programming after age 50. Life is too short
It's funny, I couldn't feel more the opposite of this attitude, and I'm just a couple years away from 50 and money-wise could retire any time. Can't imagine having to live with this kind of mindset!

Wait until some fast talkin kid out codes you 1000 lines to 1 and laughs at you. Then get back to us.

Xela,

You said it best. I should NOT use "timeframe's risk-management parameter in another timeframe's trade"! Win rate is a useless metrics.

I'm not sure which timeframe I should stick with...
Then go for a 5% win rate or 0% win rate!

Many of the algos that claim to be profitable use the Martingale system.
They are digging their own graves with that unless they are a bit smarter than the average bunny.
