I want to trade futures... oh and I'm 17

Quote from Rorschach_test:

Jack, btw, there are a lot of money that i`m offered next year.Should i put them all to futures trading?

No.

How do you allocate say $20-30M?

I would split it three ways.

1. 500 contracts each in PVT applications (as ATS's) applied to up to each of 85 different futures exchanges in three non overlapping RTH periods.

2. I would run (using an ATS for PVT) 12 streams of stocks in each of three non overlapping RTH zones. The share upper limit is 100K shaers for one stream.

3. Using weekly sweeps of excess capital, I wold apply the remainder to SSR. No limits of any kind.

I`ll buy you a jet,if you help me out!

No thanks; I have other arrangements.

I`m not greedy.

All your readers already know this.

i have no readers.i try to stay invisible.the thing is,i`m very suspecious to the human beings(in the very sense of the word ''human'').now if you do a research on the topic the ''human being'',you`ll find out what notions are associated with the term ''human''.sad to say,but 90% you`ll find out would be disgusting(greed, betrayal, envy, meanness, malice, and on and on).so,i`m not interested in 'humans',in the literal sense of this word.

the charge against Soros was politically based, they just don't like the guy.
I have always thought the same based on nothing more than the Wiki account. It is somewhat ambiguous in the wiki account, however, whether Soros had actually begun his stock accumulation before he learned of the Pébereau's plan, or merely testified that he had already formulated a plan to accumulate stock in the French banks. The latter is a little harder to prove, but perhaps Soros did. Or alternatively he may have been able to show that he actually was accumulating stock before he heard of the Pébereau plan. Certainly it was a very weak case at best, because there was no true insider information, so far as we can tell, passed to Soros' advisor by Pébereau, who was not an insider.

Regardless, I have tremendous respect for Soros, both his deep understanding of markets, currencies and economies, and his philanthropic work, which is incredible.

You are correct.

For each journal, we met and had extensive outlines and had a schedule which we adjusted to twice the original length.length. Years were spent on this service to ET members. we also traded live in the chat room by making calls. In the journals we did calls and presented the results.

The words we typed formed a record somewhat like an interactive book would have happened. All asked questions were answered. When people posted their work it was critiqued in detail.

You asked: "what are you trying to do here?" Mostly I participate in threads begun by other people. My detractors call it "hijacking". They coined the term for their reasons. When I posted in such threads, I felt I was allowed to. My postings contain facts that anyone can read, object to, and criticize. They posted pctures of homes, etc and they feel I live in the home they posted and since they feel I do, they criticize the home and its surroundings as well.

For me I regard "mentoring" as an interative process. If and when I mentor, then the mentoree does "work". Work is a tangible thing. I have a set of crayola drills when are done early on. As people do work the crayolas get shorter and shorter. This is a paricularly good example of how frivolous I am in assigning drills with no materials (I have posted over 10,000 pages of text and a few thousand pages of attachments of "my Work")

stay away of human beings!:D

btw,Jack,attachements are friking up

Jack, been a fan of the theory for awhile. (I'm a friend of LostTrader there in AZ)
I have a programmer that would like to code a test of it up for personal use, not commercial. I've tried to locate the information here on ET but it seems to be deleted. I tried looking out in the net as well but with no luck. Could you direct me to a location where we could get a better understanding of the building blocks of the concepts? thanks.
Hope you are doing well sir.

I've watched a lot of videos in which people say things about how they shorted there because of XYZ and that it's important to come up with a strategy... but I don't know where to start.

I have never traded futures or commodities...but in reading your post I did a google search and this came up.

http://www.futures-investor.co.uk/futures_trading_introduction.htm

I noticed it is a UK website and I only read part of the first page ( so I do not know if they are trying to sell you something ) but thought I would post the link to it for you in the event it might be of some help to you...

Best of everything to you.

let your programmer code a nogap template with the cases?can he do that?i acn give a script which was coded for me,though the programmer wasn`t able to eliminate gaps(intersession as well as interbar gaps),so if your IT guy can do that i can send the sample for the further workaround.

take your time, take lots of notes, keep a journal so you can see what you thought and then what you learned and how it influenced your thought after that, and what you experienced and how that affected you, and what your feelings are during analysis out of the market, during market trading times, in a trade, at entry, at exit, post trade, end of day, look back and see your progress in thoughts and feelings about trading, dabble in some forex at the lowest risk amount, paper trade, see the difference, go slow, live, get a real job or 2, take the time.
