U guys probably see everyday threads like this but my question is as follows, are there people that make money from just trading options?
 
The thing about options is that you could be pursuing a specific strategy that makes money consistently for a long time then experience a massive blowout that takes away all your profits and then some.

And vice versa.

So in short, yes, but your strategies and risk management have a lot to do with the variability of your PnL. This year I actually lagged the SP500 terribly after all the trading I've done.

Read the classic books on trading. They have been discussed on the forum before. Avoid the internet, especially forums, until you read those.

Forums are for mental masturbation, but sometimes we find valuable information if we know enough to verify the validity of the source.
