I think Sarah Palin is going to win 2012

Quote from traderNik:

Pigs will fly before Sarah Palin gets the GOP nomination.

Sarah Palin does not represent a return to common sense. She represents the depths to which the Republican party has sunk.

If anyone saw her comments in Michigan yesterday, outside a store where fans had lined up for the right to a bracelet which gave them the privilege of paying for a signed copy of her worthless book, they saw a woman completely devoid of any actual wisdom. Of course, all politicians spew platitudes, but it was painfully clear that Palin still has no idea what underlies any of the issues she spews about.

She spoke of a revitalization of the Michigan economy. One understands that if you were to ask her 'What do you think is the best way to accomplish that', you would get something like this

"Oh, well, you know, in this great country which is America, good folks just want a chance to work hard and make a good living for their families. And what we have today is a government that is working against the American people and up there in Washington and the Department of Law, they don't have your best interests in mind. So let's all pull together and do what needs to be done to get this great country back on track again!!'

Palin as President is a stupid joke and the longer the GOP allow her to associate herself with an actual run in 2012, the worse off they'll be.

Agreed 100%

She speaks in broad brushstrokes with absolutely know specific policy in mind . . . and when she does speak about policy, more often than not she is either terribly confused, or a hypocrite.

During the Presidential Debates, she said that she, "supported caps on carbon emissions." A few months later, she wrote an editorial that stated that global warming was a joke, and that a cap on carbon emissions would kill jobs and raise taxes on energy . . . and thus she did not support caps on carbon emissions.

Furthermore, the "Golly-Gee-Wiz" stuff might work in front of the camera for small sound "bytes" but in an actual debate, she'd get crushed by a bunch of teenagers from the local High School Debate Team that actually have a command of the facts.

Assuming she's not just leading her gullible supporters down a primrose path and she actually tries to run in 2012, the second she tries that crap in the GOP debates that she got away with in her 2008 debate, she will be filleted and served like a bigmouth bass. XD

In 2008 my preference was Senator Hagel from Nebraska, or Evan Bayn from Indiana.

2012 is a ways away.

One possibility would be Meg Whitman if she can become governor of California in 2010 and show she has the ability to manage at the executive level of government.

Hagel would get my vote also. But he is intelligent, isn't a mud slinger, doesn't equate the opposing party to Hitler, Marxism...etc. Doesn't kiss Rush's butt, so there is no way he will get the republican nomination. And he doesn't know how to dumb down to get the rednecks and christians all worked up.
I think he could win a general election, a man like him should get a large percentage of the independent voters and cross over votes too.
