McCain showed utter contempt for his opponent and treated him with disdain never once looking Obama in the eye. He kept repeating over and over again that Obama "didn't understand" and "didn't grasp the issues". Judging by the poll numbers coming in, it looks like the strategy backfired on McCain. Viewers didn't take too kindly to the insulting remarks and demeanor displayed by the maverick.

I think this is surprisingly cohesive environmental strategy from the republicans.
You see, bears eat other animals, so its silly sponsoring research on the predator population-you need to know what the prey population is up to, to ensure overall survival.
In Mcains day, shooting bears was great fun, and they taste great from all accounts. Not even a bag limit!!
His criteria for a bear being a bear, is if it shat in the woods or not, unfortunately, he didn't cross reference this with his current alaskan VP, who could assure him, polar bears, rarely, if ever, shat in the woods.
And, i gather, aren't as tasty as there brown and black cousins.
Especially, given seals aren't that tasty either, the future of the polar bear is assured.
So you see, despite a couple of misunderstandings, these research initiatives add up to a well meaning, and cohesive environmental approach.
Personally i thought Mccain looked scared to look at Obama because Obama was so forceful and ready to respond to McCain's attacks toward him
If Mccain was indeed was showing utter contempt for Obama it made Mccain look even more like an ass.
When Obama is beating McCain's ass in this race and most people saw the debate like I did with Obama beating McCain in a debate on McCain's best subject,Mccain looks like a real ass acting like Obama is beneath him

I was looking at the monitoring graphs, and there McCain was less popular with all groups overall. McCain was much more polarizing, while Obama managed to get everyone to agree with him - especially on Afghanistan, taxes and the improving perceptions about the US worldwide. Obama came with practical policy implementations, step by step and was very clear on what he wanted to do - as well as coming off as a likeable person and good diplomat.
