I read they were going to go protest. I thought they were just against war. But then they protest at the funerals of the war dead. I don't get it. What are they planning to protest against now?

I disagree 100%. The Constitution was not intended to leave grey areas open to interpretation. It was meant wholly to be absolute.
Now, the WBC folks can all get their balls put in a meat grinder for I care, but unfortunately the right to free speech is just that. A quote from the movie American President always summed it up nicely for me:
