looking for students of the game to exchange skillsets with and see where this takes us. if you're serious about trading take a moment to share why so serious.

for me its about being somewhat useful to my individual capacity for a healthy persistent underlying sense of pride, knowing we are creators of differences.
 
For me it's to solve puzzles, beating the competition,the enjoyment to see the end result of my hard work that I invest in this endeavor. And reap the financial rewards of being right while being held responsible when I am wrong. The independence of not having to kiss up to anyone and having to play politics in any sort of employment relationship.

But I am not interested in engaging on a more personal level. I am happy with my setup.

Of course, earning a salary is dependent on the boss and the company. There is always office politics and that's part of the job package. A salary job is always easier than making money from the stock market. My take is this... as traders, we need to go with the flow of the market and not to beat the market. The bottom line is to keep what we have in our trading account and keep growing it. This is based on my experience as I do not need my trading account to pay for my daily expenses. So, how to know the market flow or heading? Of course, we do not know the future based on the past. If we are taking long position, we need to know where are the lows for past 30, 40, 50, 60 days. The reverse is true for short position. The tops and bottoms need time to stabilize. Now you see that patient is an edge. I respect the market and learn not to beat the market. Why? I have been humbled by the market many times.
 
For me it's not just about trading, it's about challenging your mind to overcome every obsticle the market tries to throw at us.

It's about growing.
It's about connecting.
It's about accomplishing.
And finally, it's about rewards.

And as a successful trader, I have come to the conclusion that money isn't the answer to our insecurities. The answer to our insecurities is contentment. That is why I am happy if I only make 1 dollar for the day. It tells me I have succeeded and that I haven't lost anything, but have gained something and can live to trade another day.

When I look at the number on my bank account, I realize that this number was made from my hard work and practice. The blood, sweat and tears it took to make that number grow into what it is today makes me realize that through hard work and dedication I can accomplish anything.

I suggest you do the same...
