this is nothing if you've been in the market for 10+ years, but there are so many kids daytrading with their salary from summer-internships who have never seen a 5% down day like today. a lot of people are suffering and i'm secretly enjoying it. i love it when hotshots get a taste of humble pie.

Your average single guy who can leg it isnt going to blow his brains out.

Its the guy who loses his kids, house ,life savings, cars and wife and goes into debt who will be thinking about jumping out the window.
 
I really don't see a rash of suicides over this. Back in the day, men had the guts to kill themselves, today, not the same caliber of men.

Oh sure, a few may bawl like a baby, others will see their Doctor for Prozac (OxyContin- woo hoo), some will start up grief support groups.
