I really agree with Trump on this issue.

He will be rethinking that along the lines I've explained, that you've ignored. The electoral college functions to safeguard the oldest, deepest rooted "Americans", giving them more weight versus any surge in population beyond a natural born birthrate. As such, the electoral college functions as a buffer from the voting habits of the newest arrivals, both legal and illegal. I've already iterated how/why and won't go into detail here. It worked beautifully, in this election cycle, to save the nation from the kind of immigration oriented gerrymandering engineered by the Democrats for a long time...which would have installed Democrats in power forever...at the expense of the deepest rooted Americans growing at natural born birth rates. Don't know if that was the intent, but that's how it functions de facto.

Mixed emotions.I voted for Bernie but supported the nominee.There is some good and lessons to be learned from this loss.It is time to take the party from The Obama and Clinton democrats and give it to the Bernie /Warren democrats and this loss helps in that effort.I'm really not even upset that trump is likely to repeal all the watered down bullshit that Obama passed.Future democrat Presidents will likely take note if they don't give us something worth defending (SS /Medicare) democrat voters wont go to the polls to defend it (Obamacare/dodd -frank etc).

Thus, house reps and electors will always lag population growth by as much as ten years. In effect, the number of electors will always represent a demographic that is, on average, 5 years older.
It's arguable this is exactly what we want, and exactly as it was intended.
Do I have to spell out how that translates into a safeguard against a long term plan to bus in voters from out-of-country to infiltrate and subvert the nation?
