I passed

I am studying now for the series 56. I'm trying to give it at least 3 months of heavy studying before testing.

From speaking to other traders, it might be a little overkill. However, if you have time on your side, then take it.

My aim is to put in a hard concentrated 30-45 hours of reading and then attempting the Pass Perfect tests. If I clear them with 85+, then I will book myself in for the test.

The recorded sessions help a lot in reducing the study time.

Best of luck,

Alpha.

What recorded sessions are you referring too?
jb, one observation now that I am comparing the two courses, having now received the Passperfect, is that PP looks to be more organized by general topics on possible exam content, while the CBOE manual is organized based on the exam section outline of potential content. Just an observation comparing the two.

However, is the material pretty much the same? Is PP easier and clearer to grasp?

I'm probably not the best person to say, just getting into it really. Passperfect has twice as much material, and lots of practice questions and answers also. Looks pretty straightforward.

It is straightforward and I think PP has done a good job in putting all the material together. Most people that have used PP have managed to pass comfortably.

Thanks for the info Mike it's appreciated! I originally purchased a book through TheSeries56.com and it was a complete scam, material didn't match anything on the exam and practive questions were not even close. After failing the 56 the first time I then purchased Pass Perfect which was effective. Although, a lot of the practive question were not on the exam, however they were very closely worded. I believe what ultimately made me pass the exam was the free (30 page) study notes from the CBOE which I called and asked if they had any free study material.. this was good stuff! A few traders I know used the CBOE study book and heard mixed results.

I called the CBEO for the free 30 page guide, but they had no idea as to what I was talking about. It is also good to know that TheSeries56.com isn't a place to throw your hard earned $$$ at
