But can you trust them? This company will have records of everything you do and by being your proxy server can intercept all of your traffic, view pages as you surf, capture data, etc. Frankly their web page seems a bit shady to me. Think about it, if you really want to capture people's data wouldn't posing as a company that claims to protect them be a good way? The people most fearful of data compromise (because they have worthwhile data) seek you out.

I am not concerned with the NSA stealing my money out of my account. Have they done this? I don't know of the NSA stealing $$ out of trading accounts. They can snif my ass as long as they don't ripp me off and drain my account.

I don't get this. What exactly do you think your ISP is going to do? Blackmail you about what porn sites you visit?
If you aren't doing anything illegal that you want to hide, the most basic of protections will keep your trading accounts safe, as long as you use some common sense and use a decent broker. There really isn't a need for these site anonymizers and all that rubbish.
- Have a dedicated trading machine that you do NOTHING else with. Install a mainstream spyware program and a mainstream virus program.
- Don't use wireless on this system or on any other system that is on the same network with it. (This isn't necessary if you know how to lock down your wireless properly, but if you are paranoid knock yourself out.)
- Use a broker that has an SSL website or program. Even better, use something like IB and enable your account to use the keycard thingy.
- Make sure your trading PC is behind a firewall. A basic Linksys firewall/router is all you need.
- Don't write your password down on a sticky on your monitor. Duh. A lot of "internet crime", just like credit card crime, isn't having your info stolen online, it is low tech someone being sneaky and finding out your account info.

If said person is actually what popular media says, and not an al CIAda operative from day1 to now (and that's a big IF), then they likely have ZERO interest in capturing the elusive bogeyman that has been so instrumental in foisting so many undeclared, unconstitutional wars. Amateur hackers can best the best of the govt any day of the week. Govt can only sneak around putting in bugged devices, compile databases with the help of telecoms and MS (NSA vista backdoor).. and use rubber hose attacks when all else fails.
